Who We Are
The Lake Area Community Development Corporation (LACDC) was established to respond to the current housing crisis, specifically addressing the lack of affordable and accessible workforce housing in the lake area and beyond. We serve Miller, Morgan, Camden, and Laclede Counties, as well as rural areas in Missouri with populations under 100,000.
Our current focus is helping eligible individuals and families secure housing through 502 Direct Loans. We are working to expand our programs and services to include:
-
Community outreach and education programs to help families purchase and keep their homes
-
Partnerships with developers and builders to increase the amount of housing available at the lake
We will continue to solicit funding from federal, state, and local stakeholders to establish and operate the LACDC. Funds generated and received through various partnerships and other sources will be intended for community outreach and education programs as well as new collaboration and partnership opportunities.
